About eaglefeather press
OUR MISSION
Eaglefeather Press was founded to provide readers with engaging narratives in the genre of biography, memoir, and personal anecdote. We strive to preserve the best aspects of publishing by old-school experts — but in a fresh, intimate, and interactive way.
Our mission is to chronicle quintessentially human journeys that can inspire our readers to greater understanding of self and others. Eaglefeather Press is unique in that our web site offers a variety of ways to engage with our books, including book club discussion questions, personal interviews with authors, insights into the creative process, expanded story information, reader comments, and more. We strive to make our books a rich, interactive, and fun experience for the reader versus simply a quick, one-time read. We hope that you will return to Eaglefeather Press again and again for the highest quality and most enjoyable nonfiction experience.
OUR STAFF
Publisher Joanne Wolfe has more than 40 years of experience in magazine and book publishing in the U.S. She has been a senior editor for national and international publishers such as Advanstar Communications and Meredith Corporation, as well as publisher and CEO of her own companies, Wolfe Communications Group and Wolfe Media Resources. She currently divides her time between Nova Scotia, Canada, and Virginia, USA.
Creative Director Marisa Dirks is a publishing graphic designer who took the risk and left the corporate culture early in her 36-year career. Although the environment her skills were nurtured in — large design staffs, mentoring, training for photo art direction and press checks — does not exist anymore, it is a constant inspiration for what is possible. Her goal is to ensure that everything she creates melds her years of experience with the unfettered clarity of a solid, inspirational story or product. She lives on a farm in Boulder County, Colorado.
